Another Interview Review
I am an optimist, no doubt about it. I like to think that everything is within my reach. I can do anything as long as I work for it. Hehehe. So, that explains the last post. I think too positively. By the way, I went to the other interview today. The position was Sales/Application Engineer. The name of the company was Hexamas Sdn Bhd. It was located at a housing area in Selayang. The office was a rumah kedai. It was messy and there were about 5 desks in the office. hehehe. Get the picture? Anyway, I do like the job. I like to sell. I like to convince people to buy. And this company, they sell equipments and even the offshore platform's facility to oil and gas companies. During the interview, I was asked to sell pens to the interviewer. I think it was OK. Given limited amount of time, I think I did quiet well. As usual, I am a big talker, but he wanted to buy two dozens of pens from me. hehe.. Well, since it is a small company, the company does not seem attractive to me. So I demanded RM 2800 per month. Hehe. I don't know if they are gonna hire me. But heck, kalau ada rezeki, dapat la, takde rezeki tak dapat la. I don't care.

Oh, there's nyamuk everywhere in my room. Do you know that nyamuk are just like us; they like hot people and they don't like the cold ones. What I am saying is, if your body temperature is low, when it's cold, when you switch on your room's aircond, or you put your fan to the maximum speed, the probability of you get bitten by nyamuk will be smaller. So that's exactly what I am gonna do now. Mandi, decrease the body temperature. And also, another fact, you'll sleep better when your body temperature is low. Now, that explains why you always feel sleepy after you take shower. Right? hehe.. You also feel sleepy after eating right? But it's bad to eat before you go to sleep. So just take shower before you go to bed. I forgot the resource of these facts, but I guess they make sense.

Sense made. Good night.

Interview Review
Last Thursday, I went to kl for another job hunting interview at MSI Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. I can't believe that MSI is the abbreviation of the president and his wife's name. This company specializes in pipelines and other facilities for oil and gas industry all over Asia Pacific. The company was built with 5 manpower at 2005, and now expanding to Australia with 30 employees. Their office is in Menara TA One, right accross KLCC Suria. Aiman and Hikmah sent me to the place and waited at the lobby with me till 10.30am, half an hour before my scheduled interview before they let me went upstairs for the job hunting. hehe..

I felt neither nervous nor confident when I was at the front door of the office. I rang the bell and a dashingly handsome guy, working at his desk, took a look at the door, pushed the button and gave me the signal to push the door. hehehe. I entered the office, with about 15 desks in it, and everyone stared at me. So I greeted them loudly: Hello.. my name is Nurul Hidayah Tukimin, and I have an interview scheduled for me at 11am. Then I was told to wait at a small conference room; but big enough to put the whole PID diagram with the label of SHELL Brunei at the wall.

Part I: Mr Eesan. He has the Chemical Engineering background and working as the Flow Assurance Engineer; the position I am applying. He's about 30, still young and handsome. hehe.. He talked about the company background, the scope of work, and a little bit of everything. He only asked me few questions, including some basic technical questions, like what would you do to decrease the pressure change, and how do we find the flowrates. I did not expect any technical questions, so I was shocked. I was so shocked, I couldn't think. My mind went blank. But I decided to answer those questions without thinking. Lucky me, I managed to answer them correctly. hahaha.. So I guess, part 1 was a success.

Part II: Ms Shamini. She was a project manager. She looked a bit strict. First, she asked me the basic question, like "tell me more about yourself" and "where do you plan to stay if you get the job here".She also asked me questions about handling hard situations like what would I do, if the senior engineer made mistake by saying irrelevant points in a meeting and if the clients accuse me wrong when clearly I am the right one. Again, I answered them with my heart, not my head, because I could not think. And again, I was relieved when she said: Yes! That is the right answer. Part II was another OK part.

Part III: Mr Mohan. He is the Vice President of the company. He told me that he was happy with my CV and the response he heard from both Mr. Eesan and Ms. Shamini =P Then he showed me the office on that floor and their office on the other floor and met with several more young and handsome engineers. hehehe.. One of them even said, "is she joining us?". hehe~ He was nice so we chat about few things like the earthquake, UK vs US and others. I can consider this part was a success too.

So all in all, I enjoyed the interview, compare to the one I had with Shell. Beside the 'no training, training is on the job' part, I think I would really enjoy working there. Oh and yes, I don't know the pay rate yet. So I can't say I like the job yet, can I? I have a longgggg list of belanja-ing people makan and belated bday gifts.. therefore, I need money $_$

I have another interview with another company this wednesday. Keep your doa for me ok?

Thank you.. I love you

Jobless makes me crazy
Warning: this is an angry post

As crazy as it sounds, being unemployed makes me go crazy. Like hellooooo I'm an oversea grad with excellence grades. And it's not like I can't speak or I don't have confidence or whatever obvious reason for companies not to hire me. I was one of the earliest in my batch to look for a job, and yet 3 of the 7 are hired by now. What about me? Oh God why do you test me like this? This is the harderst phase of my life. Seriously.. If you tell me, work is not fun, work is hard, no rest blah blah, I'll tell you, then you quit your job, and give me the freaking job.

OK. You wanna see my long list of companies I have applied for jobs?
Here it goes
  • Petronas: recommended, haven't heard anything from them since May
  • Shell: rejected
  • Sime Darby: no respond
  • Ranhill Worley: no respond
  • RNZ Integrated: no respond
  • Intec Engineering: no respond
  • Elster-Instromet: unsuccessful
  • Hitachi: unsuccessful
  • P&G: unsuccessful
  • GHW Waters: In Proces
  • Syarikat AzwanShah(recommended by Hikmah's aunt): no respond
  • Jimah O&M: no respond
  • Caltex: no respond
  • MMHE: no respond
  • ST: interview was postponed until i also don't know
  • ExxonMobil: no respond
  • Schlumberger: they said they were gonna interview me, but they haven't contacted me until now. arghhh!
So now you understand how I feel if you ask me.. dah keje dah daia?
I'll go crazy.

To go or not to go
KL, this weekend: To go or not to go, that is the question

Here are the reasons to go:
  • Jeeb's birthday. I owe her few years' bday gifts. *sigh~*
  • Lyana's going back to Ireland. And she was there to send me off to US.
  • Weda's kenduri. Another good oppurtinity to get together with the happy Vandy people.
  • Attiyah is going to UK to continue her Master. And Pushie and Farah have been dragging me to go along with them.
  • I need to see Hajar. Her perfume and money are with me. Plus she owes me some amount of money so I need to see her.
  • I sent my iPod to Low Yat last week and I need to pick it up this week.
  • Irwan is going for the OIAM audition. It sure is nice to see him (and others) performing.
And here are the reasons not to go:
  • I'm so broke these days and I couldn't afford another trip to KL to survive before I get a job.
  • I have just installed the Streamyx 1.0 Mbps at my room. So no more boredom at home.
  • A pasar malam near my house this Sunday. Dah lama tak makan pedal goreng.
3 vs 7. Even the cons outweigh the pros, but the cons are much stronger than the pros, so yeah, I am sorry guys, looks like I am staying home this weekend. Unless someone would really pujuk me, then maybe I'll change my mind. Good luck..

coz i still don't have the reason
and you don't have the time
