i love the show! thanks to lynn / aidura / tasha for introducing it to me. so i now am finally current in keeping up with the episode.

when i think about it, the castings are pretty much similar to my very own beloved brothers and sisters! if you've met my brothers and sisters, you can probably add to the descriptions or agree/ disagree with the scores that i have given below. score is 0-10.

- the responsible one - 6, we depend on her to get food for us if our parents not around

so i just found out that i brought ALL reports (byk ok, ada la dlm 5 kot), calculator, name stamp, date stamp, laptop (complete with mouse) home from work.

i just realized that i forgot my handbag with my handphone and my purse which is where i keep money, license, IC, cred card, bank card etc.

and i just realized that i forgot to bring home my handbag when i was trying to find my nail clipper which usually is in my handbag!

talk about wrong life priotization. tsk tsk tsk

ok so i now really really want to buy a house, esp when i found out a friend of mine just bought a unit at the apartment that i was eyeing on

but you see, i haven't really saved money to buy a house, hehe i didn't know that i wanted to buy a house until recently

so anyway, turns out, i can't afford to pay down payment (duh!)

so kawan2, mari la kita menabung! tapi menabung2 pun, paling2 3Q this year baru boleh afford down payment + stamp + legal fee

i have always been a fan of this show, although this year i'm probably too busy to even follow the shows. weekends pun mcm kadang2 tak smpt tgk. ok so anyway, based on some of the episodes that i have watched.. here is my independent review of the 2011 AI. some of my early favorites:

ahsthon jones- i like her. she seems like someone who could make it in hollywood, a little bit of beyonce-ish. tapi dah keluar pulak. haihhh
paul mcdonald - his voice is very unique. i like this guy. and he's kind of cute too
lauren - her latest performance was so-so, but nevertheless i love her tone

the ones that i don't quite get:

jacob - yeah yeah very good singer, but too much facial expression
haley - may be it's just me, but i do think sometimes it's a bit pitchy
naima - am just not a fan of her fashion sense

so if i could vote, i would vote for...

You know what girls do when they are upset?

They go shopping!

In my case, it's sightly extreme because I decided to go shopping for a house! Yay! Well, I probably should have mentioned... window shopping counts too.

I have been browsing around in internet and bookmarked few places. But nothing excites me more than this particular location. This particular condo is located in Ampang, which is very convenient, very close to my work place - Yes Hajar, betul2 depan Taman Cahaya.

So I contacted few agents, and set up appointment for viewing. Yes, that's I think the formal term that they use - viewing.

This condo is located right above a mall, well actually right behind a mall. They have everything in the mall, from salon, massage place, clothing stores, shoes stores, handphone stores, hardware stores, ATM, KFC, Old Town, Subway, Bread Story, and last but not least, a freaking Carrefour! They have like a secret door for the residents to go in and out from the mall, access card is required of course. I actually saw a man walking into the apartment's elevator with the Carrefour trolley - not too sure whether that's actually legal or not.

Just in case I am in mood for new jewelry, they have a Poh Kong too.

So anyway, I went to see 3 units, 1 normal apartment with 3 rooms - large, pretty, roomy, RM300K++.

I also checked out 2 SOHU (apparently stands for Small Office House Unit), which are the units that are located on 6th and 7th floor of the same building. The 7th floor is the swimming pool and the gym. 6th floor is the BBQ pit and playground.

The unit I checked out was facing the BBQ pit / park.

Of course, the right side photos are from internet lah!

What better way to spend a Saturday than doing spring cleaning of the whole house.Plus, I just had to burn the all the calories from sebungkus besar nasik lemak that I ate earlier this morning.

So I started with high-dusting of the ceiling fan, ceiling (as far as what I can reach), vacuuming, mopping the floor, vacuuming again , mopping again, vacuuming again - this goes on and on, I lost count how many times I actually did this. This whole routing (ritual?) is of course an influence from my mom - who else? Vacuuming every corner of the house, the wall, the ceiling, everything. Mind you, my mom made us wash our wall at least every raya!

My mom is so into cleaning, she always buys this cleaning agent. She will buy at minimum 3 bottles whenever she goes shopping. So last weekend when I went home, I took a bottle from my mom's kitchen cabinet.

Time to put my mom's favorite cleaning agent to test:

OMG, I loved it! I think I have used up at least quarter a bottle. Cleaning bathrooms never been this fun! I fall in love with this cleaning agent!

so i have been busy these past few months. to summarize, i've decided to do this!

cause they say, pictures say a thousand words.. so i hope this is enough to make up for me, not blogging for a long time!

now for new year, i thought i will list down my resolutions, so i have to do it - now that it is documented and displayed for public eyes.

improve my solat
follow road rules and drive carefully - this costs me quite significant amount of money last year
be more open minded, less judgmental esp when meeting new ppl - oh yeah, and i think i am open to meet ppl (p/s: if you have single guy friend that u think may suit /like me, pls gimme a call)
look for new house / new housemates
care more about ppl who cares about me
and the evergreen-never-come-true-every year's resolution: BE A NICER PERSON.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!! may this year bring you more and more happiness, berkat, health, money.... ermm... did i mention happiness already?

i know definitely this year will bring big challenges, pls pray for me that i have the strength to go through it.

so after spending couple of hours in the office on eid day today, i decided to treat myself with some retail therapy.

so i walked to pavilion (i consider walking to pavilion from my office as a work out btw). went to the usual shops, decided not to buy anything.

just when i thought my moolah is save, i made mistake by entering parkson.

i first went to brand x counter, with intention only to buy the treatment essence - mine is almost finished. then the sales person started to tell me that i needed only couple more points for me to pick up free stuff with the existing points that i had collected so far. the free stuff offered happened to be the cleansing oil, which is something that i already used, and mine is almost finished too. so i 'had' to buy another moisturizer set, which happened to be on sale. the moisturizer comes in set which also contains the treatment essence in smaller package, which i so need for traveling purpose. it also comes with facial mask, which i just thought of buying this morning.

so anyway, turns out, i got 100 ringgit voucher from this purchase. i quickly go to the shoe section and try to find a nice shoe for work. did not find one. so i went to the handbag section with a mission... i MUST find a handbag more than 100 ringgit so i can spend the vouchers!

so the hunt begins. finally, i found myself a handbag that i think is nice, but obviously priced more than 100 ringgit. the handbag is 200++ ringgit, so i had to add another 100++ ringgit.

happy with 2 big shopping bags, i went back to my car and went home.

in the car, got me thinking, did i just spent money on unnecessary stuffs? i didnt think it was any waste of money since i actually needed the stuffs that come together with the other stuff that i bought. eventually i will buy them too, separately. so why not buy all in one shot right? to me this is nothing different than 'beli barang pukal' concept. or is this a shopaholic talking? no? what do you think?

Qatar Airways

So I got to fly business class with Qatar Airways. The seat was spacious. I got to pick my seat, so I picked the one at the back all by myself. Immediately, I tried all kind of seat adjustment... including converting the seat into a bed.

30 min after take off, we were offered lunch from the menu.

And more food:

As if it was not enough, they also gave me, Godiva chocolate... and very very nice coffee... (NOT complaining)

Other free stuffs that I got were including amenities kit - traveling socks and eye mask, and beauty kit - lotion, moisturizer, lip balm, comb etc.

Of course, the entertainment packages were great! I watched 3 movies - Shawshank Redemption, Cyrus ( heh, i've always liked stupid movie like this, turned out, it wasn't too stupid), and Nodame Cantabile II... and series of friends and family guy in between.

The Qatar Airways crew were of course, super helpful and friendly too. All in all, I gave them 4.2 stars!

OK, all set to go (I think). Called my trusted cab to pick me up to go to the airport. I wish there's somebody to be there at the airport to bid me off.. but I guess will have to be all independent by myself. Oh well, I better get used to it.

today is a sleepy day for me. couldnt sleep well last night. i even cancelled a meeting today, just because i cant think anymore. so i wanted to leave early today - at about 5pm (early right?).

i couldnt start my car. guess why?

i forgot to turn off the car lights this morning. am pretty sure my car is supposed to make a weird sound to indicate/ remind the driver to turn the light, but obviously, i didnt hear it

now, am back in the office (i mentioned i couldnt work because i couldnt think anymore - just too sleepy) waiting for my housemate to go to klcc, and will drive her CRV back to home since 'battery jump' is not possible because the car park is still full (not accessible for other car)

micromanage

i had a list. a to-do list. a to-do list while my boss is out of office this week. why i need such list? because #1 - i have a lot of work (duh!) #2 - i find it hard to do actual work when my boss is free and available. don't get me wrong, i love my boss (who happens to be my mentor as well), and we are good friends, but she; like other bosses... tends to micromanage. what does that mean? well, let's look at the real wikipedia, shall we?

micromanagement is a management style where a manager closely observes or controls the work of his or her subordinates or employees. Micromanagement is generally used as a negative term

so anyway, going back to my point about the list, guest what? i only managed to do 25% of it! why do you think??

because i micromanage too lah!! i dont even have time to do other work, sebab sibuk follow up with my techs' work. to be honest, i dont actually think micromanagement is a negative thing. to me, it's like coaching, like teaching a man how to fish.

so anyway, earlier today we, the young engineers had a session with THE godfather of our company today. and he quoted:

now, it made me feel bad. i micromanage my team all the time... they must have not liked me that much. hehehe. let's look at the real life example and you will understand why.
